About Us

Our mission is to be an outstanding teaching and research pole, educating for life and addressing the challenges facing our society. We are committed to a process-oriented, team-driven, multidisciplinary approach to women's health that underscores learning and research. We aim at achieving excellence in:
1.     Patient care, which encompasses primary comprehensive health care needs of women, and full-spectrum specialty services with expertise in every single aspect of obstetrics and gynecology.
2.     Professional education including undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education, along with patient and community education.
3.     Scientific research and publishing of data.
We provide an integrated high-quality and cost-effective network of health care services and education, centered around our teaching hospital and consistent with current medical standards for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disease, including general obstetrics and gynecology, high risk pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis and fetal medicine, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
We are committed to academic freedom, critical scholarship, rational and creative thought and free inquiry. It is part of our mission to ensure that these ideals live; this necessarily requires a dynamic process of finding the balance in a range of choices: choices between freedom and responsibility, rights and obligations, transparency and efficiency, and autonomy and accountability. This, according to our vision and firm belief, can be achieved through consultation and debate.
We pledge to be sensitive and compassionate in health care delivery, to discover and share new knowledge, and to create a learning environment where the faculty members serve as outstanding role models for current and future health care professionals.
